THE SECOND "GLOBAL ETHIC AT SCHOOL" SEMINAR HELD IN ZENICA

''Global Ethic at School: Integration of the Global Ethic into Educational Structures and Processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina'' is one of the TPO Foundation Sarajevo projects by which the learning about ethical values in B&H educational system is trying to be integrated. In line with this, the "Global Ethic at School" seminar was held on March 19 and 20, 2016 in Zenica. Teachers of biology, mathematics, electronics, philosophy, catechism, psychology, English, sociology, history, ethics, chemistry, BCS language, democracy and human rights found out more on concepts and meaning of the global ethic through the introductory lectures as well as its foundations and most significant documents such as Declaration on Global Ethic and they were also encouraged to use other documents of human rights that guarantee the dignity of a person.
Ethos initiative that TPO Foundation promotes through the project of the global ethic puts an emphasis on cooperation and partnership of religious and secular worldviews and use of all disposable resources from traditions in order to find joint ethos in every community. The objective of this very project is not syncretism or creation of ''beyond-religion'', some brand new worldview, nor is the goal to create new ethics, but to open heart of every man to make serious the existing ethical norms and laws and show readiness to implement them as Alen Kristić emphasized it.
Anja Maksić presented the etos.ba online platform and explained in which way the available contents and tools relevant for the integration of global ethic into educational structures and long term influences can be used, but also how teachers can register to forum and exchange their ideas and materials.
Monja Šuta – Hibert emphasized the pedagogical aspect of this project engaging the teachers to prepare demonstration of the two sets of classes on the theme of the current ethical challenges of today in schools and their local communities.
The whole seminar in both theoretical and practical part was concluded with fundamental messages of dedication to the culture of non-violence and respect of life, solidarity and just economical order, tolerance and veracity, equal rights and partnership of men and women.
The teachers were given certificates for successfully completed teaching unit "Global Ethic at School" and numerous didactic materials and literature that can be used to enrich the preparation of classes with the integration of the global ethic.
